Dear Tidal Waves Families,

I am sorry to tell you that, after much deliberation, Alex Miller and I have decided that we will not be activating the team for the 2021 season. We only recently found out that Bellevue borough would even be opening the pool this summer and they still are unable to say exactly when that will occur. This uncertainty, combined with the loss of our head coach has left us in a bad spot. There are significant start-up costs involved with activating the team, namely insurance, and we don’t want to squander what slight resources we have in the bank if we can’t guarantee that we can give the kids a successful season.

We are pretty bummed to say the least, but please know that this isn't the end of Tidal Waves. Think of this as a temporary pause. This team is a summer tradition in the North Boros and one that we don’t plan to let fade away. We believe strongly that we can come back bigger and better in 2022. Please consider becoming a board member. It’s going to take all of us together to make it happen. We hope we can count on your help.
